The base salary for interns in the class of 2023-24 will be $29,000 per annum.
Interns have 25 days per year of personal leave, which may be used for vacation or for personal illnesses or to care for family members who are ill. They also have 5 days to use for professional reasons (conferences, educational workshops, employment interviews). In addition, there are ten paid holidays: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day and the day after, and Christmas Day.
Interns are not officially enrolled graduate students at the University of Florida, and are classified as OPS (Other-Personal-Services) employees.
