Clinical Child and Pediatric Psychology
The Clinical Child and Pediatric Psychology area has 1 INTERNSHIP TRACK for the 2026-2027 training year:
(1) Clinical Child & Pediatric Psychology Track
This internship position would be best suited to applicants who are seeking a mix of training experiences including outpatient therapy with children and adolescents, specialized experience in Parent-Child Interaction Training (PCIT) and evidence-based treatments with adolescents and their families, providing consultation and brief targeted assessment and intervention services within specialty pediatric outpatient clinics (e.g., diabetes, craniofacial, infectious diseases), and intakes and targeted interventions for psychological and pediatric behavioral health-related concerns in youth.

Didactic Opportunities. Interns participate in weekly didactics including the Child Area Pediatric Psychology Seminar attended by child area graduate students, interns and post-doctoral fellows, and faculty. Other didactics are available across the UF Health Science Center, such as the monthly Department of Pediatrics Grand Rounds. More information can be found about didactic opportunities here.
Research Opportunities. Active participation in research is strongly encouraged. Interns have 4 hours protected time for research per week. The area matches interns with faculty at the beginning of the training year. Interns have opportunities to engage in a variety of research activities that fit with the intern’s interest and professional development goals.
