About Aliyah R Snyder
Aliyah Snyder specializes in neuropsychology and is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Clinical Health and Psychology at the University of Florida. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the Florida Institute of Technology. She completed her PhD in clinical and health psychology in the neuropsychology track from the University of Florida. She completed pre-doctoral internship training in pediatric and adult rehabilitation neuropsychology at Emory University and then a two-year fellowship in brain injury and sports neuropsychology at UCLA in the BrainSPORT program.
Her clinical work currently focuses neuropsychological assessment and interdisciplinary management of concussion/brain injury at the UFHealth Norman Fixel Institute for Neurological Diseases. She also directs the Holistic Interventions for Brain Health and Recovery (HI-BHaR) clinic, which provides brief, time-limited therapeutic interventions for brain injury, post-viral conditions such as Long COVID-19, and other neurological conditions. Her clinical interests focus on treatment and development of biobehavioral therapy including for mindfulness-based biofeedback for these conditions. Dr. Snyder’s research focuses on the role of autonomic dysregulation in persisting symptoms after brain injury.
